How can I set up 1:1 call services and availability?

Set up and customize your services for 1:1 calls, from length to price to booking questions.

Add a New Service

Adding distinct and unique services for 1:1 Calls is a good way to give your followers options when booking a call with you. To create a new service, go to 1:1 Calls on your profile dashboard, and then click the Services tab. Or use this shortcut link.

Tips when adding services:

  • Try to limit your offerings to a few key services. Too many may overwhelm people browsing your profile page.

  • Consider offering a service with a more accessible price for those who might not be able to afford your full-price service.

  • Consider offering a free 15-minute introductory call to help with lead generation for longer paid calls.

When setting up a new service, here are the details you’ll need to think about:

Service Name

This is the title of the service you’re offering, and what will appear on your Superpeer profile.

The title of each service you offer should generally be concise and focused on a specific topic; e.g., "Woodworking Consultation," or "Fundraising Consultation". However, you can include a service like "General Mentorship" or "30-Minute Q&A".

Custom URL

Each service's URL will be automatically generated including your username along with the service name. If you would like to edit the URL, click Edit. All of your services require unique URLs.

Call duration

You can choose from the list of default times or set a custom time. Depending on what call length you choose, this will affect the available times in the booking window for this service. For example, if you choose 1 hour, the available times will show up as 1:00, 2:00, 3:00, and so on; if you choose 15 minutes, your available times will be 1:00, 1:15, 1:30, and so on. You can add buffer time to your calls automatically within the service’s Availability Settings.

Tip: Keep in mind that Superpeer will never cut off your call if it runs overtime, but your peer might not be happy if the call ends early! Try to choose an appropriate call duration for the topic you’ll be discussing.

Call price

Choose from a list of Superpeer's supported currencies. You will still be able to receive bookings from anyone in the world who is eligible to participate, regardless of which currency you choose.

A general rule of thumb when setting your call price is to consider what you get paid hourly in your regular work and extrapolate from that to set your rate.

Hide service from your profile page

Toggle this on if you want the service hidden from your Superpeer profile page. The only way for someone to access the service is through the custom URL. This can be a good option if you want to limit visibility to a service to only certain people, i.e. a discounted or free service.

Tip: Create a free hidden 1:1 Service and use it for all your work calls. This gives people initial exposure to your Superpeer page and can translate into paid 1:1 calls and new subscribers from people you're already engaging with outside of Superpeer.

Only paid subscribers can book

Toggle this setting on to make the 1:1 service exclusive to your paid subscribers.

Tip: Offer a free or discounted 1:1 service to your paid subscribers to encourage people to subscribe to your channel and help boost your paid subscription numbers! Adding different services is a good way to give your followers options when booking a call with you.

Set Your Availability

You’ll need to set your availability for each service when you set it up. Check the days you are available and choose the start and end times. You can set multiple time frames in a single day, e.g., 9am - 12pm, 2pm - 5pm.

Tip: If you would like to offer free calls for a couple of hours a week but paid calls for the rest of the week, you’ll need to create separate services for each type of call (free and paid) and then adjust your availability accordingly.

There are a few more options available to you to customize your availability:

Buffer time

Add time before or after your 1:1 calls so you have a little time between back-to-back calls. Buffer time is set to 0 minutes by default.

Notice period

The notice period will set a minimum notice period for your bookings. Users will only be able to book calls at least this far in advance. Notice period is set to 16 hours by default.

Notice period is where you also determine how you’d like Superpeer to handle call requests:

  • If you select Manually accept/decline every call request, you will need to log in to your Superpeer account to manage the booking before it is confirmed. Unaccepted calls will be canceled 4 hours before the call to avoid a no-show. We recommend this setting.

  • Or, you can Accept bookings automatically. This means you won’t have to manually manage bookings ahead of time, and you can still cancel calls any time.

Maximum booking period

Set a maximum booking period to prevent users from booking a call with you too far in advance. The maximum booking period is 90 days by default.

Copy Your Availability to a New Service

Once you've set your availability for a service, you can easily copy it to new services you create. When setting up a service for the first time, click the dropdown box under Copy availability from another service and choose the service from which you would like to copy.

Keep in mind that if you change the availability of a selected service later, the availability of this new service will not be affected. You can also add custom hours to any new service by manually choosing the days and times you are available.

Set Your General Unavailability

This setting allows you to block date ranges from your booking calendar across all services.

Toggle this on from within any of your existing services. Then, select the date range in which you are not available. You can add multiple unavailable timeframes by clicking Add date range +.

Add Custom Booking Questions

By default, all services include the question "What would you like the call to be about?". Click Edit to edit or delete the default question, or add more. You can have up to 4 custom questions to a service. Toggle the Required setting on if you need peers to answer this question before booking.
