It is possible to set screen share permissions after you join your 1:1 call or stream, but we recommend setting them up beforehand to avoid disruptions.
We recommend using Google Chrome for the best experience on Superpeer. To learn more about our supported browsers, check out What browser should I use?.
Chrome for MacOS
To enable permissions in Chrome:
Under System Preferences, open Security & Privacy.
Click the lock icon to allow changes.
Under Screen Recording, allow access to Google Chrome.
After doing this once, you should now be able to screen share during 1:1 calls and live streams from your device.
Tip: If you’ve already started a call and forgotten to grant permission for screen sharing ahead of time, go ahead and follow the prompts for setting up permissions for Google Chrome above. You will need to restart your browser, but keep in mind you can use the same link to rejoin the call as before.
Safari for MacOS
While we recommend using Chrome for the best experience, you can join a call or stream using Safari. You do not need to set up permissions ahead of time; you can allow it during a call:
Click the Share Screen button
In the modal that says, Allow “superpeer.com” to observe your screen?, select Allow.
Tip: You may also want to consult Apple's article on setting permissions to allow screen recording.
Windows-based browsers
At the moment Windows doesn't have any system-level permissions for screen access. If you're running into problems or getting an error, double-check your browser settings or reach us at [email protected].
Troubleshooting screen share errors

Check to make sure permissions have been set for the browser you are using.
